Overview
A Solutions Architect works to identify customer requirements, evaluate alternatives and make recommendations for solutions matching client needs to proposed solutions based on deep technical knowledge of systems, database architectures, JAVA and Microsoft technologies.
Design and deliver stable, maintainable and operationally sound software. The architect works with engaging and challenging requirements while designing solutions, defining business systems and technical architecture consistent with client’s overall strategy for deployment.
Job Description:
A Solutions Architect acts in a consulting capacity to provide development and re-engineering of business system and corporate architectures.
* Must have the ability to integrate existing systems by conducting technology and system assessments.
* Focus of work should be in Microsoft technologies, including .Net, VB.Net, ASP.Net, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Windows Communications Foundation (WCF), Windows Workflow (WF), SQL Server, Visual Studo, Silverlight and Sharepoint.
* Proposed solutions must enhance current business and integrate multiple technologies with streamlined, cost effective solutions.
* Provides highest level consulting related to technology strategies, enterprise planning and deployments across a range of systems at the corporate and field levels.

Skills:
* 7 to 10 years experience 5+ years of experience delivering sophisticated high volume transaction data systems
* Expertise in several programming languages such as .Net, C#, or Java as well as OO design
* Strong UML and data modeling skills Design Skills & Tools
* Analysis Skills: UML and Business Analysis
* Experience with Enterprise Architect (EA)
* 6+ years of experience leading small teams, establishing development practices, and mentoring individuals
* Experience leading virtual teams and implementing best practices.
* Experience leading peer code reviews, mentoring others and developing the talents of the team members.
* Setting high level design objectives, and reviewing and critiquing software designs proposed by senior developers
* Experience with a range of software lifecycle development practices especially Scrum, Six Sigma and CMMi.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary
* Microsoft Office suite, Windows and MAC OS, MS Project, Visio, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Enterprise Architect (EA).
* Experience with JAVA to include Sprint, Hibernate, Struts, web application development and deployment. Web centric technologies and tools like Web Sphere
* Microsoft technologies, including .Net, VB.Net, ASP.Net, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Windows Communications Foundation (WCF), Windows Workflow (WF), SQL Server, Visual Studo, Silverlight and Sharepoint
* Operating Systems System Manager/Administrator experience with Mac OS and/or Microsoft Windows NT and VISA.
* Programming experience in C, C++, Visual Basic, XML, Java or similar languages.
* Experience with MS SQL Server, particularly Reporting, Analysis and Integration services
* Application, database, communication, network, Naming standards, API, messaging, security, operational management.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent and four to six years of relevant experience. Advanced degree desirable. |
