Job Duties: Accommodation Manager’s duties include: Developing and implementing policies and procedures for daily operations, negotiating with suppliers for the provision of materials and supplies, negotiating with clients for the use of facilities, setting work schedules, responding to customer complaints, preparing budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, developing business plans, preparing marketing plans, implementing marketing activities, enforcing policies and procedures, recruiting and hiring staff, supervising staff, conducting performance reviews, selling products and services and managing retail operations.
Requirements
& Comments: • A university degree or college diploma in hotel management or other related discipline is usually required for managers employed by hotel chains or large accommodation establishments.
• Several years of experience within the accommodation industry are usually required and may substitute for formal educational requirements.
