Expanding the local team in Romania, they are looking to hire a:
Senior Presales Consultant
The suitable person will be engaged in business development activities for the Romanian market with a focus on the Finance/Banking vertical where the Company in Romania holds a dominant position selling IP VPN networks and related communication services. The candidate must have a good balance of technical and business skills to be able to conduct presentations to CxO level articulating technical solutions in appropriate business terms and translating business problems/challenges to ICT solutions, reaching a trusted advisor status towards key stakeholders in customer organization.
The suitable candidate should be a generalist, with a good overview of ICT market and especially managed communication networks (data, voice) coupled with an understanding of consultative selling approach. IT Service management understanding (ITIL) is also required. Ideally the suitable candidate should have some hands on experience with technology in the past but clearly no such activities will be included in the current role.
Responsibilities:
Position, scope and close (sign) advanced, complex consulting and services engagements.
Tactical account-development, leading towards a consultative sales-approach.
Building relationships with the account-management teams.
Be customer facing and be comfortable with winning consulting business at a target of Euro 500.000 in 12 months depending on actual business plan.
Advanced technical consulting abilities, providing advise to customers with generally the most complex requirements. Initiates and owns the commercial customer relationship for consulting services.
Maintain a high degree of knowledge of all the Company`s consulting-offerings and services. Use this knowledge to design commercially and technically viable solutions; particularly for large and complex customer requirements.
Actively participate in the tendering process and development of proposals in line with customer needs.
Qualifying customer-opportunities based on upsell potential and resource availability.
Stay abreast of market-developments in the areas of telecommunications, IT and integration services.
Provide relevant input into the competency-structure and product-development organization based on customer requirements.
Expected to provide strategic direction, guidance and integration of the chosen Company`s partners products or other vendors.
Note and escalate service development required to meet customer needs.
Oversee the signoff of projects from a service delivery and commercial standpoint.
Provide accurate forecasts of strategic and tactical consulting and services engagements
Play a role in the development of the consultative sales strategy

Skills Required:: |
Skills, experience, qualifications:
A relevant University/College or equivalent degree in Information Science
MBA will be considered a plus
ITIL v2/v3 certification will be considered a plus
Relevant business consulting experience is a must
5+ years of experience in Business-Consulting, Presales or Consulting-/Services-Sales
Experience within the telecommunications or integrator-space
Sufficient subject matter knowledge in at least two of the following competencies is preferred (ordered by priority)
o Voice / IPT / convergence
o Application Management
o Networking / IPVPN
o Messaging / Unified Messaging
o Hosting / Data Centers
o IT Infrastructure
A track-record of serving customers across multiple verticals and knowledge of main compelling events for (ordered by importance):
o Finance
o Government
o Transportation
o Manufacturing
o Pharmaceuticals
5+ years experience bringing in business and/or technical consulting revenue based on a revenue achievement target within a team
Possess a consultancy led approach with a both a business and technical focus
Able to bring commercial and technical issues to a optimal business solution for large customer requirements
Experience leading virtual teams of presales, consulting and project management within a matrix and geographically spread environment
Possess gravitas and experience of management-level, direct customer contacts for business development.
Excellent Inter-personnel and communication skills, including high level presentation skills to board level.
A resilient and driven character, with ability to self-motivate and self-manage in the context of challenging employee and customer environments.
Able and willing to travel within the regional geography including Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa as required.
