| Job Description: |
Development and maintenance of embedded software/firmware for products based on the Atmel AVR family of microcontrollers including ATmega644, ATmega2560, ATmega2561, and ATtiny24. All development is in “C” using an integrated development environment (IDE) and JTAG in-circuit emulator (ICE).
Candidates who do not have truly relevant embedded experience should not apply.

Skills Required
• 3-5 years (minimum) embedded microprocessor programming experience in “C” working with integrated development environments and emulators.
• Bachelors Degree in related discipline preferred.
• Understanding real-time programming concepts- timing scheduling, I/O, etc.
• Be able to develop, test, and debug code both at the low-level (board level) and application level.
• The ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• The ability to understand microprocessor and peripheral data sheets and register setup.
• Some hardware knowledge.
• The ability to use basic wiring tools, meters, scopes, etc. Helpful.
• Prior experience with AVR processors strongly preferred but related experience with similar processors will be considered.
