Administrative
Develop an Operations and Maintenance team to provide ongoing operations and maintenance support of the baggage system at King Shaka International Airport. - Including but not restricted to interviewing, hiring and training
Look after the administrative and legal requirements of setting up a local (South African) subsidiary company under which this operation and maintenance team would fall - including legal, insurance and accounting activities
Look after the administrative and legal requirements of running the local (south African) subsidiary company, including establishing a supplier network, paying invoices, issuing invoices, preparing reports and other material related to the company.
Look after the needs of the employees - development, training, coaching, labour relations etc
Develop the business
Technical
Develop the operation and maintenance procedures to ensure operational integrity of the baggage system.
Be the go to person for problems that cannot be resolved by less experienced staff.
Oversee the performance of the work performed - ensure quality control
Prepare reports required by the client and stakeholders
Make recommendations for improvements

Skills Required:: |
Managerial / supervisory experience in establishing businesses
Technical experience and certification preferably in the electrical / controls fiels but mechanical experience also accetptable.
Familiar with processing (conveyor) systems with lots of control interfaces
Airport or airline experience an asset |
