Overview:
Consultant will be responsible for storage provisioning, storage network management (SAN and NAS), and backups & documentation for many diverse application systems and operating systems. Consultant will have prior migration SME. Consultant will design and planning, along with the hands on migration in the following technical areas. Will be responsible for helping the customer design, plan and execute migration services. Also will be responsible for daily storage administration, best practices, reporting and monitoring of their equipment.

Requirements:
1. Must have 3-5 yrs experience with HDS platforms including Hitachi Universal Storage Platform USP-V or USP)
a. Data Migration
Storage: HDS USP-to-USP-V with lots of AMS virtualized
Fiber: McData 6140-to-CISCO MDS on the SAN
b. Tiered Storage Planning & Design capabilities
HP-UX servers
2. Software requirements include: 2/4
a. For USPV - Dynamic Provisioning, Virtualization, BOS,Tuning Manager,Storage Command Portal
b. For AMS - Storage Navigator, Device Manager and Tuning Manager
3. Mid to Sr. understanding of NAS experience Hitachi Network Attached Storage (NAS)
4. Perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with internal best practices.
5. Maintaining multi-tiered storage infrastructure leveraging HDS hardware and software
6. Participate in the execution of the business continuance and disaster recovery plans.
7. Participate in the design and operational execution of the customer`s storage disaster recovery process.
8. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
9. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator
10. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project
