Location: - Gurgaon, Haryana
Responsibilities
• DB2 DBA SME to work as within the Production Environment of the global data warehousing environment responsible for a number of applications based on IBM DB2 databases.
• Working as a DBA (Database Administrator) will require the successful candidate to write stored procedures as required by new applications added to the DB2 database environment; provide general maintenance to the environment: housekeeping, health checks and optimizations along with process improvements and other ad-hoc project work.
• We are searching for a DB2 DBA who has gained experience in (and can demonstrate on their CV) experience of working within a corporate production environment as a DBA with a specific focus on DB2 database environments.
• The DB2 DBA will also be completely fluent with the AIX flavor of UNIX and be comfortable writing shell scripts. Experience working within a data warehousing environment would also be beneficial but not essential.
• Ideal candidate should also possess strong DB2 UDB data replication server skills with production support experience in a global environment.
• Responsibilities include ongoing system administration, configuring, managing, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience required in scripting languages like shell/perl/java/php is highly desirable.
• 5-7 yrs. Of Db2 Udb Dba experience
• Proven ability to evaluate client specifications, design all databases necessary to complete client requests and provide technical guidance to other members of a project team.
• Successful work performance demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively, work well with others, use productive work methods, exercise sound judgment and display initiative and innovation on the job.
• Resource will ensure 24x7 level 2 support in Shifts
