| Job Description: |
Our client: Our client, one of the leading international construction groups, with worldwide diversified activities, offers a full range of services in engineering and construction projects. The firm`s evolution over a 50-year span is reflected in its continuing record of achievements performing major civil, industrial and electromechanical projects worldwide. On behalf of the client, we are looking for Rail Construction Manager.
Responsibilities:
Head and manage the construction teams through the site organisation.
Supervise a team of Site Engineers and Foremen.
Define and update the detailed construction plans and schedule giving priorities where necessary.
Identify problem areas and promote corrective actions.
Ensure the on time request for necessary project personnel, materials and equipment.
Direct coordination and supervision of all track laying activities.
Plan requirement of materials to be transported at work front(s) for the track laying activities.
Check and review the progress of the works and ensure proper invoicing.
Review of design and shop drawing.
Cooperate with other Contractor(s) employed in the project.
Implement project quality and safety plan.
Normal Construction Hours: 10 hrs a day, 6 days a week

Skills Required:: |
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a reputable University
7-10 years of working experience in the construction industry with a minimum of 4 years in Railroad Industry.
Be able to schedule, co-ordinate, order and supervise the construction of sections of the Railway construction works.
Excellent leadership skills, as the successful candidate has to lead a team of different disciplines such as Site Engineers, Foremen, and all Track Laying Activities, such as:
- Track Laying
- Turnout’s Placing
- Tamping and Lifting the Track
- Track Stabilizing
- Destressing
and the necessary works to complete the track construction.
Capable to organize the daily site setting up with all the working machineries.
Able to meet deadlines, which are related to the Project Schedule.
Implement Project Quality Control and Safety Plans.
Computer Literate.
Fluent in English
