Job Title: Autocad curtain wall designer / draftsman

Job Purpose:
To prepare the detailed engineering drawings, allocation & work order for curtain walling, façade/ Aluminium works in proper for further use by production and installation
Key Responsibilities of this JOB:
To review structural and architectural drawings and prepare detailed drawings for Aluminium and glazing work of the project in accordance with the complete scope of work in terms of quantity and specification in line with the BOQ for approval of Client/Consultant.
Make sure that structural check done for all necessary components (Glass, Aluminium Mullion, Transoms, Brackets etc.).
Effect any alterations on the Alunimium Shop drawings in coordination with the Project Managers as agreed.
Provide approved detailed Aluminium shop drawing to the production department for final production.
To ensure that the approvals of Drawings and sample materials obtained as per specified/approved within the time scale of programme.
Responsible for pre-ordering of materials in coordination with Sr. Designer (i.E. Releasing the related information to Purchase Department) in time to meet the programme.
Preparing Work orders, Material allocation & Material Take off.
Preparing Aluminium Fabrication drawings and cutting list of profiles, Glass & Steel work order.
Provide approved detailed engineering drawings to installation for the proper coordination of different trades at the site.
Prepare ‘As Built’ drawings to the Client/Consultant for final handover of the Project.
Keeping record for all incoming and out going project related documents such as submission, rejection approvals.
Important Features Of This Job:
· The job holder manager Draftsman/designer team, identifying the requirements of items and deadlines to complete target specified activities in the project schedule.
· Planning requires microscopic detailed study of a project, accuracy and precision are utmost important and critical for successful completion of a project with in the budget.
· As a result of complexity and diversity of projects there is a lot of stress in the job including time pressures, coordination and handling conflicting priority issues.
Comunications Required:
Internal
Internal communications on daily basis with peers in other departments like Sr.
Designer, Production, Project Managers to meet deadlines of a project on a
Timely basis.
External
Maintain an interface with valued clients on quality issues.
Authority and reponsibility to solve problems and ake decisions:
Provide a wide range of solutions, for complex issues; alterations in specification of items, quality of produced items etc.
Minimum Qualifications, SKILLS, Experiences And Competencies Required.
Bachelor of Engineering / Diploma in Civil Engineering Mechanical or Architecture with 3-5 years experience in Aluminium Industry. Experience in curtain walling both in Unitized & Stick system is essential.
Well versed in Auto Cad and Microsoft Office.
AUTO CAD latest working knowledge.
