2009 Great Guerilla Marketing Internship
Who: Alex`s Lemonade Stand Foundation is currently seeking up to 20 part-time summer interns to help run the Great Guerilla Marketing Campaign in their cities. We are looking for interns across a diverse geographic spread of the United States. Ideal candidates will be self-starters who can work under direction, outgoing, ambitious, and interested in working on a unique and meaningful project.
What: The Great Guerilla Marketing Campaign is a new initiative at ALSF. The goal is to use guerrilla marketing techniques to generate grass roots interest and raise awareness in ALSF and our childhood cancer programs. The campaign will bring on board interns from around the country to launch, help design and implement this plan. The interns that are selected for these positions will have the opportunity to interact and collaborate online with the other interns located across country and the foundation home office.
Where: Nationally, with a special interest in the following areas: Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.
When: May – August 2009
How: Various guerrilla marketing techniques will be implemented. We will suggest some ideas to the interns but we are also looking for the interns selected to be creative in developing other guerilla marketing ideas. We will use both online guerilla marketing such as : recruiting members to the ALSF Facebook Cause, using Twitter to generate buzz and promote local ALSF events, Youtube, Digg, etc and offline techniques like reading the Amazing Lemonade Stand book at a local library or to a class of children.
Why: Childhood cancer is the leading disease killer of children in the United States. We are determined to make a difference for these kids and we are looking for talented people who are willing to join us and help.
Those selected for internship will receive a small stipend along with a pack of Alex`s Lemonade Yellow Gear.

Ideal candidates will be organized, self-starters who can work under direction, outgoing, ambitious, and interested in working on a unique and meaningful project. Candidates should also have experience using social media, writing skills are a plus.
