Job Description as follows:
Location: Laurel, MD
Clearance: Top Secret/SCI (US security Clearance)
Education Requirements:
BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Experience Required:
Solaris/Linux system administration
User community support (both internal to LAB and external customers of provided services)
Trouble Ticket repsonse team (both to internal development staff, and external user community)
Software System support (Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic)
System support for Database Support team (Oracle)
Dataflow mission support for office (involves scripting work, monitoring of data)
System/Network monitoring/maintenance
Some software support/fixes (the business applications written are in various languages: Java, PERL, ColdFusion, and will need some troubleshooting)
Some development work (if time and skill-set permit)
Three (3) years work experience supporting computers running Microsoft Windows NT, maintaining networks, and installing and maintaining software for numerous users or systems via modern communications technology. Experience identifying and resolving network communications and system software problems, and supporting users and user applications. Experience in install, loading, configuring operating system software; troubleshooting; installing the desktop; and installing Windows NT and Microsoft applications. Experience with operating system backup and restoration using the provided system tools and third party commercial products (All experience must have been obtained within the last 5 years). Six (6) years professional experience and training commensurate with technology curriculums typically associated with a Bachelor`s degree or equivalent.
