This leading Hospital is seeking an experienced Health Information Systems Project Manager for a permanent role based in Doha, Qatar. The role will involve working on a new and exciting hospital project based in Qatar.
In this role your duties will include:
• Provide coordination with other departments Directors/Executive Directors to identify and implement IT initiatives that are in line with the organizations strategic and operational goals and support the Executive Director of Health Information Systems department in managing the department.
• Participate as an integral and active member in the strategic planning process of the healthcare enterprise.
• Assist in the development, coordination, and maintenance of IT systems strategic and operational plans in support of the overall clinic/patient – focused mission and business strategy. These plans define a vision for meeting current and future information and technology needs for the healthcare network, while ensuring alignment and integration of IT with the overall vision, mission and values of the enterprise.
• Support the development and maintenance of the enterprise systems architecture, defining standard and protocols for data exchange, communications, software, and interconnection of healthcare network information systems.
• Promote and oversee relationships between the healthcare network’s IT resources and external entities (e.G. Government, vendors, researchers, and other healthcare organizations).
• Negotiate IT service level agreements with user organizations and monitors IT systems performance to assure service levels are being met.
• Responsible for the recruitment, development, motivation and retention of assigned management staff conforming to budgetary objectives and personnel policies. This shall be accomplished through the consistent practice of sound human resources concepts, thereby achieving teamwork, employee security, mutual respect, maintenance of the highest level of professionalism and a stake in the healthcare network’s success.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the annual operating and capital budgets for healthcare network information and technology systems operations consistent with programmatic plans and established financial guidelines. Responsible for monitoring IT activities and cost related to overall utilization of resources required to meet programmatic operational requirements.
• Review healthcare network-wide hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts, soliciting involvement and participation of other management team members as appropriate. Develop, when possible, healthcare network-wide
To apply you will ideally possess a Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related fields (Masters Degree preferred).
• Minimum of 9 years progressive experience in managing functions and departments dealing with information handling, work flow and systems of a large IT Department. 6 or more years of experience in a healthcare setting is essential, preferable in IT planning to support strategic business goals. At least four years of direct management of a major IT operation is preferred.
In return you will receive a TAX FREE salary between $60,000 - $85,000 USD TAX FREE (negotiable).
