On behalf of the client, we are looking for Railway Construction Professionals .
Reports to: Tamping Foreman
The Tamping Machine Operator is responsible for:
Operating a tamping machine computerized or manual, made by Plasser & Theurer or Matisa.
To be able to lift and align the track in accordance with UIC specification as far as the tolerance is concerned.
To perform the routine maintenance of the machine.
To have some knowledge to repair a sudden damage of the machine.
To be familiar with the international tracks traffic rule.
To supervise the crew of the tamping machine.
Have the experience not to damage the component of the track.
To implement the job with safety.
Normal Construction Hours: 10 hrs a day, 6 days a week

Skills Required:: |
At least 10 years of working experience as main operator of the tamping machine.
Able to lead other operators (crew of the same machine).
Safety and Security. Knowledge of policies and procedures for the protection of people and property.
High School Diploma, or Vocational Training or On-the-Job related Courses
Fluent in English
Ability to work effectively and add value as a team member.
Able to work under pressure
Demonstrated technical knowledge.
Strong problem solving skills: ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action. |
