| Job Description: |
We are searching for Overhead Power Transmission Design Engineers to be placed in either South Africa, New Zealand or Australia.
The primary purpose of these positions is the design of overhead transmission lines for power delivery. You will be provided an opportunity to work with the industries` most knowledgeable Transmission Line professionals in . Collaborate on complex projects and work in the Power Delivery business with an emphasis on transmission line design.
Perform engineering calculations, write equipment specifications, and prepare design sketches and construction drawings. You must understand survey drawings and plan and profile drawings plus a high regard for safety and quality.
Experience in transmission line design. If you are using PLS CADD and/or AutoCAD it would be to your advantage.
Good communication skills and the ability to delegate and supervise the work of engineers and technicians will come in very handy. Must also be able to communicate well with both clients and vendors.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must have an Engineering degree from an accredited University or College
• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the power delivery industry (Overhead Transmission Line experience preferred)
• Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Access
• Professional Registration or License
• Special Courses or Training Helpful: Autocad, Microstation PLS Cad
