VINIRMA Consulting currently looking for PMO Planner for one of our clients which is a leading Organization in Qatar with the following skill set and terms and conditions.
Skill Set required:
Responsibilities
• Develops and promotes a Project Management Framework. Plans, develops, implements and maintains a Project Management Methodology (including policies, standards and procedures) based on well-established PMI knowledge areas in the discipline of Project Management. Evaluates maturity levels and promotes continuous improvement of project management practices within It&os Department and participant clients. Acts as a Change Agent.
• Provides PM training support. Identifies and evaluates project management training needs among Ist Department staff and participant clients. Organizes and coordinates Project Management Training. Delivers upon request personalized project management training.
• Provides coaching and mentoring. Builds, maintains and improves guidance to project managers. Builds and maintains an inventory of skilled project management resources (internal and external).
• Provides and keeps up to date project management products (e.G. PMBOK from PMI, MS Project). Leads the development and implementation of plans for the acquisition, installation and maintenance of PM software and tools to meet Ist Department short and long term needs.
• Works with inter-disciplinary project teams to understand project management needs and help ensure that the needs are met by the It&os Department Project Management Methodology.
• Participates in Program/Project Portfolio Management. Works with Project Management Committees and Ist Department management to provide standards for project reporting and management reviews; to provide project selection and review processes; to provide project evaluation criteria; to perform administrative audits or review activities; to compare and assess projects within the portfolio.
• Focuses on horizontal impact of Ist Department projects (multi-project management).
• On special occasions, provides project management services. Plans, organizes, schedules and controls project activities. Supervises project team and reports to Ist Department management on project status.
• Researches latest developments in Project Management and communicate these throughout Ist Department

• Carries out other related tasks assigned by the IST Department Manager

• Controls and monitors the development and progress of various projects.

• Participates in preparing information for the division’s budget. Involves assessing project requirements both in the short and long-term and identifying required manpower, hardware, software and peripherals. Reviews various budget expenditure by checking and initialing invoices covering the purchase of new equipment, or the provision of manpower or maintenance services.
• Supervises and coordinates the preparation of feasibility studies and cost analysis for various projects.

• Involves discussing the basic scope of the project.

• analyses user requirements and prepare initiation and feasibility reports, reviewing and discussing recommendations to ensure they are within the Department’s policy guidelines, and within the budget limitations established by the user

• Prepares a project development strategy specifying phases, tasks, checkpoints and deliverables.

• Reviews project progress at the end of a particular phase to ensure required work has been completed successfully and in accordance with department standards.

• Ensures that subordinates keep abreast of developments in the computer field. Includes identifying and selecting employees to attend training courses and ensuring and arraigning to the department employee course

• Monitors and evaluates the results of training courses to ensure objectives have been met and that training is effectively carried over to practical work applications.

Skills:
• MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Access, Lotus, Visio, MS Project (Proficient)
• PMBOK (Proficient)
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in English, and the ability to collaborate in a team environment, while taking responsibility for project results. Applicants must be highly motivated and able to relate positively to clients at all levels of the organization.
• Able to conceptualize and think creatively
• good interpersonal and communication skills
• persuasive, patient manner ,team leadership capabilities

Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) is a must If Applicant has a proven MNC (Multinational Company) experience and does not hold any certifications, than in such case candidate is accepted.

Qualification: Bachelor of Degree in Computer Science or related field.
(Minimum 16 years of education is required).

Experience Required: 5+ years experience in IT Project Management which should include 3 years PMO planner experience. Experience should include 2 years IT environment experience
Terms and conditions:
Joining time frame : 2 weeks (maximum 4 weeks)
The selected candidates shall be a direct employee of one of the leading Organizations in Qatar.
