The hospital provides numerous community educational lectures and events, centering on disease prevention and wellness. It is one of the nation`s largest health-care systems. The BJC system includes hospitals, nursing homes and numerous health-related services and programs throughout Missouri and southern Illinois
Job Description
Manages nursing operations of a specific department(s) in collaboration with Director of Patient Care. Provides leadership and direction in accordance with system and departmental goals and objectives. Interprets hospital goals and objectives, policies and procedures for personnel, patients and public. Demonstrates excellent customer relations skills that reflect and support the mission, vision and values of our HealthCare.
Responsible for maintaining an environment that promotes the health and safety of patients, visitors and employees assigned to the department.
The manager oversees 2 units, the Joint Replacement Center and the Spine Unit. The JRC is a 21 bed unit and has a complement of 28.62 budgeted FTEs. The Spine Unit is a 20 bed unit with a complement of 24.52 budgeted FTEs.
Skills & Certifications:
• BS in nursing
• Current MO nursing license
• experience in an acute setting
• leadership experience
