Background
The project shall improve the performance of the client’s backbone to shorten the time to market. One part of the project is to make the cache invalidation event driven i.e. the cached web site data shall be removed as soon as a change has occurred (active cache invalidation).
Tasks
The scope of the consultant services is to assist our client in development and to secure a successful handover to the external SLF partner Wipro.
The main tasks in the assignment will be/a day at work will look like:
* Design, implement and unit test changes to invalidate changed product information in WCS DynaCache
* Design, implement and unit test changes to invalidate changed product information in Akamai cache
* Design, implement and unit test changes to invalidate changed product information in external search engines e.g. Techa, Interactive Assistant, Google
* Design, implement and unit test selected change request for performance and capacity improvements in the system
* Debug and solve defect reports found during test, deployment and roll-out
* Get an understanding of the changes in the platform for the Website performed by the Online Range Information 1.0 project
* Train Wipro (external SLF partner) personnel in the changes in the platform for the Website performed by the Online Range Information 1.0 project
