A community hospital is seeking a Director of Pharmacy. The Director will plan, organize and manage the pharmacy services department by establishing policies, procedures, standards, and objectives for the provision of service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacy manager who is ready to take on a challenging role!
Responsibilities of the Director of Pharmacy may include:
• Coordinating professional practice, special projects and research studies
• Controlling all pharmaceuticals and biological in the hospital
• Coordinating with the medical staff on all drug usage policies
• Establishing and implementing policies and procedures for the department
• Developing operating budgets and preparing explanations for the monthly variances
• Recruiting, hiring, and orienting new pharmacists and other personnel
• Developing standards for staff performance

• State License where services are rendered
