| Job Description: |
Purpose of the job: To ensure that production, cost targets and budgets are met. To develop managerial leadership and promote safety ethics.
Required outputs: Functional
-Maintain and adhere to SOP`s and COP`s
-Ensure operations reach performance targets
-Identify Safety Hazards and implement corrective and preventative actions
-Compile and submit comprehensive reports
-Conform to legal requirements
General
-Leading an Underground production team
-Responsible for all mining activities in area of responsibility
-Gather and implement ideas and best practices to reduce costs and increase output, quality and safety
-Ensure that admin and support work is efficient and thorough
-Coach and develop subordinates
-Organise production processes in area of responsibility
-Provide safe and healthy working environment
-Compile and operate operational budget
-Manage and co-ordinate projects
-Plan short and medium term activities
Specific experience required
-3 to 5 years supervisory experience on Mine Overseers Level
-Sound knowledge of mine planning and mine infrastructures
Qualifications and expertise required (Must)
-Applicable B Degree, NHD, NDT or N6 (Mining)
-Mine Manager Certificate of competency (Coal Mining)
-Valid drivers license |
