| Job Description: |
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for both selling and service to customers, as well as supervision of hourly associates engaged in the same activities. The Shift Supervisor spends the majority of their time on the selling floor. The Shift Supervisor will supervise the store in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager and will participate in the training, coaching, and performance management of associates. The Shift Supervisor is also a role model within the unit for abiding by and holding others accountable for The Code of Business Conduct and overall business practices and to uphold the Company’s principles that ensure Doogoland® is always a seriously fun place for families that is safe, friendly, and educational.
Scope Of Responsibility:
The Shift Supervisor must have day, evening and weekend availability to work.
Job Responsibilities
• Directly provide selling and service for customers. Interact with customers to determine and meet customer needs, provide assistance and support, and ensure a positive shopping experience. This includes ringing of sales through the POS system and/or support help in the kitchen.
• Coach and develop strong and effective associates. Develop and support a diverse, high performance team. Take action as needed to ensure that all associates fully contribute to the store efforts.
• Sell to customers and maintain sales to store budget.
• Maintain sales floor presentation and safety standards. This includes floor recovery, housekeeping and presentation standards.
• Supervise a team of associates in the absence of Store Manager, provide selling and service to all customers. This includes training, coaching, and performance management.
• Accountability as manager on duty
• Perform Opening or Closing Operation such as reconciling shift’s sales at end of shift
•Manage store independently in a past paced environment
• Ensure that the store operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company ethics policies
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required.

Physical Requirements
• Able to perform repeatedly action of standing/walking.

• Able to use repeatedly computer/POS register and kitchen equipment.
• Able to perform frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotating of the wrist(s) and spine.
• Able to receive repeated detailed information through oral communication.
• Able to perform repeated action of talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
• Able to perform repeated action of determining near and/or far distances with clarity.
• Able to frequently clean and disinfect toys or play equipments.
