This position serves to meet the organizational needs for supervision of personnel and ensuring agency compliance in the laboratory
The Chemistry Supervisor (Clinical Coordinator) is responsible for assisting the Laboratory Director in the management and supervision of the laboratory through planning, directing, coordinating, implementing, controlling, evaluating and improving the quality of patient care delivered.
The Chemistry Supervisor (Clinical Coordinator) is responsible for the supervision of one or more designated sections and ensures that goals and standards are in compliance with hospital standards and those of the applicable accrediting organizations.
He or she is responsible for managing the equipment in the department, for promoting teamwork with all customers, and for appropriate resource management |
Skills Required:: |
B.S. Degree in one of the Chemical, Physical or Biological Sciences or B.S. of Science Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent. Required Length and Type of Experience Three (3) years management experience as a full time section supervisor preferred. Required Licensure, Certification or RegistryCurrent State of Florida supervisor`s license in Chemistry or all disciplines. ASCP certification preferred. |
