The Program: Jayson Home & Garden, Artists¡¦ Frame Service, Bella Moulding, and Chicago Art Source are Goltz Group Companies connected by design and leaders in their respective industries. Goltz Group gives students the opportunity to apply skills they have gained through college and apply them to real-world environments. This is an opportunity for students to participate in a wide range of photography and graphic design projects within a fast-paced and multi-faceted organization. Interns must commit to working a minimum of 2 days per week. This is an unpaid internship, and a successful internship will not necessarily translate into permanent employment; however, interns are given at least the same consideration as other candidates when job opportunities arise.
Learning Objectives include the following.
„X Learn processes of relaunching an ecommerce website.
„X Apply knowledge of photography and design to create photography and marketing collateral in harmony with established company brands.
„X Gain an understanding of the marketing goals and challenges specifically related to high-end retail and ecommerce.
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
„X Photography for company websites as well as for marketing collateral.
„X Style merchandise and prepare set per direction of graphic designers for photo shoots.
„X Assist in creation of Jayson Home and Garden Fall Catalog.
„X Assist in retouching and manipulation of photos.
„X Upload photos and enter data related to merchandise accurately and efficiently onto website.
„X Implement design changes throughout website.
„X Design signage and other collateral for businesses.
„X Attend and participate in weekly marketing meetings.

Skills Required:: |
„X Third or Fourth year student studying both photography and graphic design.
„X Portfolio that accurately represents photography/Photoshop skills.
„X Familiar with both Mac and Windows operating systems.
„X Skilled in Creative Suite 3 or 4 with a focus in Photoshop, and all Microsoft Office applications. A general knowledge of HTML and web applications, preferably Dreamweaver.
„X Must be able to work with minimum amount of supervision in executing photo shoots.
„X Must be proactive in learning and willing to bring new ideas to colleagues.
„X Ability to style small groups of items and knowledge of studio lighting.
„X Must be able to regularly lift up to 40lbs. moving merchandise during studio shoots.
„X Experience and success in completing projects requiring a high attention to detail and able to work within a fast paced environment.
„X Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and implement ideas.
„X Excellent prioritization and organizational skills.
„X Strong collaboration, written and verbal communication skills.
