We are recruiting for technicians with telecom background (Cisco) to perfom Asset Inventory of Telecom equipment for large International company.
This is phase 1 of a project that we hope will result in an equipment/service upgrade. If so, obviously we will be returning to these sites at a later date for equipment install and turn up.
Phase 1, however, is a simple asset tagging. Tech will be provided with a Work Order from OneSource Building Technologies that outlines site information including site contact. We ask that you contact the Site Contact 24 hours prior to arrival to ensure they are ready for you. (They have been provided a date/time already so should be expecting your call). When you arrive you will meet with a site representative from customer who will provide you with a site walk through. This project is based on the assumption that all international sites are classified as “Small”: there are no more than 9 closets to be inventoried. If you arrive and there are more than 9 closets, we ask that you communicate with our Project Coordinator (Instant Message, Skype, cell phone, etc) so that we can put in the appropriate change orders to ensure we all get paid for extra hours. Basically you will validate all the information on each piece of existing equipment located at the site. If there is a change or error on the provided site inventory list - you make the correction. If you find any additional equipment not on the inventory - you document that information and apply an "asset inventory tag". Any assets that you cannot find, you note and define as "removed from service". Upon completion of the project, you will forward your findings on to your contact at OneSource who will upload it into the database..
Locations in Korea: 4 locations in Seoul, 2 locations in Anson which need to be performed next week. Monday 5/18/09 we have 2 locations in Seoul - Wednesday 5/20/209 an additional 2 locations in Seoul and Friday 5/22/09 2 locations in Ansan. Each location is expected to take less than 2 hours. Payment is for a MINIMUM of 2 hours/location
The following week we are looking to provide these same services to locations in Pusan (5/26/09) Ulsan (5/26/09) Daegu (5/27/09) Kwangju (6/1/09) Yeosu (6/2/09) Chonan (6/4/09) Jincheon (6/8/09) Please note - you do not have to accept all sites to participate in this project. We realize we will probably need to use multiple techs.
Requirements: Telecom background. Can identify telecom equipment including: routers, switches, gateways, firewalls, PBX Cabinet-Chassis, Voice Mail cabinet – chassis and related networking devices. Note: Wlan Ap’s and Telephone sets are Out-of-scope. Must have a Laptop with Wireless access and MSOffice, cell-phone and the ability to speak English.
Compensation: Equivilant of $90 USD/project (up to 2 hours) - currently about 121523 KRW. If project cannot be completed in 2 hours or less - additional compensation is $35 USD/hour. (currently 47259 KRW).
Next Step:
We are looking to complete this project with as many local techs as possible – and for the most part do not have travel in our budget. To compensate, we did try to price the projects to make it attractive to local professionals. However, we can ask for approval for travel in certain circumstances. If you are interested in a site that would require travel – please let me know what the travel costs would be for each site. I had someone scheduled to do this project and now cannot reach them - therefore we are looking to find someone as quickly as possible.
