Prefer full-time commitment for at least 6 weeks. Background: In 2009, the Roots & Shoots Beijing Office (R&S) is getting involved in publicity and marketing via a charity biking event. In early October 2009, R&S will co-host the “China Charity Challenge;” a ride for 30 bikers (15 teams), from Yunnan to Sichuan via Lugu Lake which will support the expansion of the R&S network in Yunnan and Sichuan province. In doing so, CCC will not only raise awareness of China’s environmental challenges, but also implement practical solutions to address these challenges. R&S Beijing is looking for an intern to assist with the marketing and fundraising work in preparation for the CCC. The intern will help implement strategies for fundraising and corporate sponsorship, events planning and implementation for promotional events, and work to cultivate local partnerships with cross promotion, sponsorship and marketing. |
