Our client is a young, environmentally friendly horticultural business specialising in quality product for Australian markets. Only recently established, the business is ready to employ a Glasshouse Operations specialist to take the business the next level, providing people and performance optimisation.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, your functions will include:
1. Labour management of a multi-cultural workforce, training needs identification and performance management.
2. Crop activities management, ensuring completion to stanfard. frequency and methodology as determined with the Grower Manager.
3. Compliance wth Induction of new employees to exacting standards.
4. Liaise with and manage the activities of the external labour hire companies used, ensuring appropriate levels of labour in both terms of number and effectiveness.
5. Liais with internal and external stakeholders regarding conformance to staffing, pick forecasting and deviations as they occur.
You will be a hands-on motivator with proven leadership and crop working experience. Cultural sensitivity is required and experience int he development and implementation of new strategy will be highly regarded. |
