Family Harvest Church is a non-profit international ministry that focuses on excellence. We are currently looking for a teachable, honest and hardworking Desktop and Network Support intern. This is a hands-on position which will give our intern a well rounded understanding of a networking and emerging technology operation in a growing organization working with internal teams and outsourced technology vendors.
This internship is ideal for someone who is currently pursuing a computer science degree (undergrad or graduate) and wants solid hands-on experience in Desktop support and Networking before they graduate. We are interested in a part-time internship approximately 15-25 hours a week and ideally would transition into a full-time summer internship for the candidate to expand on their work.

* Location: Our main headquarters is in Tinley Park, IL, just off I80 and Rt.45.
* Hours: 15-25 week onsite (flexible)

Our ideal intern will have a good working knowledge of MS operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, networking and is able to troubleshoot hardware related issues. We prefer the type of person who digs deep to understand how to tweak, optimize and harden desktop and server configurations. We consider as vitally important a personable "can do" attitude. The intern will receive a lot of on the job training from our current staff.
The successful candidate will possess most of the following skills/experience:
* Windows XP and MS Office applications. Vista a plus.
* Mac Tiger/Leopard, iPhone/iPods.
* Cisco and Netgear network hardware.
* Basic understanding of Windows Server 2003.
* Outlook/Entourage email set up and configuration on client side.
* Ability to troubleshoot PC Hardware.
* Good communication, documentation and troubleshooting skills.
* General understanding of TCP/IP and DHCP a plus, Wired and Wireless Networking.
* Someone who is trustworthy, willing to learn and enhance their technical skills.
* Good sense of humor and willingness to learn a plus.
