Assist in the preparation and check of engineering procedures, specifications and standards.
Instrument Database Input. Prepare and check the basis of design, specifications, data sheets, requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and drawings.
Check and review vendor proposals, documentations and drawings.
Act as Lead Engineer on Projects and Proposals.
Lead or participate in project, client and vendor meetings.
Provide input to proposals. Prepare and check man-hour and material cost estimates.
Provide Input to Construction Sub Contract , evaluate bids and supervise contractor.
Act as a mentor to other employees.
Execute other engineering activities specific to the Control Systems technical area such as: P&ID development, Logic/C&E Diagrams, Control and Protection narratives.
Requirements:
Previous experience working on a major project . Alternatively extensive experience and expertise in a specialized subject or related industry.
Knowledge of the following;
DCS, ESD, F&G and Analyser System Design
Safety System Design in accordance with IEC61508/61511
Instrumentation Selection and Installation including Flowmetering.
Control of steam turbine and electric motor driven compressors. Implementation of control and protection systems for package mechanical equipment and fired equipment.
Control, Protection and Instrumentation for Ethylene and/ or Petrochemical Plant, Oil & Gas Applications, and Power generation Plant.
Must be familiar with European, American and International standards applicable to the petrochemical and power industry. Must be computer literate with a range of office automation (OA) applications and preferably with experience of eg INtools, Smartplant Electrical, Intergraph PDS. Man management and supervisory skills. Able to review, interpret and work in accordance with Client/Company standards and procedures. |
