| Job Description: |
The Clinical Nurse Specialist uses advanced practice skills to assess, develop, implement and evaluate the educational needs for the assigned unit and central education participants. The CNS acts as a consultant to the Administrative Nurse Manager and the staff on patient care. In addition, a Clinical Nurse Specialist assists in the inclusion of evidence based research into practice standards, participates in research and participates in educational content development. Requires an active Michigan RN license, current BLS, Master`s degree in nursing or related field (MSN is preferred), and a minimum of three years of relevant clinical nursing experience in the specialty. This CNS position is responsible for the Family Birth Center and Antepartum units.
