| Job Description: |
This is supervisory work in the administation and technical direction of the Saudi Aramco West Pier shipyad and Tanajib Marine maintenance group. Employee should supervise the maintenance and repair program required to maintain tug boats, maintenance boats, pilot launches, jack up barges, dredges, work boats and fuel barges including the hauing and dry-docking, inspection, repair and sea trials of theses vessels. Repair work includes the complete overhaul ad rebuilding of diesel engines, reduction gears, pumps, hydraulic systems, air systems, safety and navigaional equipments, and the manufacture of shafts, sleeves, pins and bushings inthe machine shop; cleaning, inspection and replacing of plates and other structural members, and general preservation of the ship`s hull and superstructure. The work may include other duties as assigned work is performed under the general supervision of Saudi Aramco Marine Maintenance Superintendent. |
Skills Required:: |
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience as a production manager in any shipyard.
Considerable knowledge of the shipbuilding trades including methods, materials and special techniques
Considerable knowledge of shipping regulations and standards associated with the repair and operation of all vessels.
Ability to plan, coordinates, and supervises the work of diverse functions through intermediate supervisors.
Must be a graduate in Engineering or a Naval architect, proficiency in computer and fluently speak, read and write English.
