Responsibilities :
- Administer all production database and support critical applications within enterprise and work as of part of the team delivering database related project services.
- Establish and maintain database standards and procedures, including back-up and recovery procedures.
- Fault diagnosis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Perform upgrades and support activity – 24x7 on- call support.
- Interact with vendor technical support.
- Assist in planning, implementation, integration, and maintenance of h/w and s/w infrastructure.
- Proactively participates in ITIL incident, problem, service level and change management process and procedures.
- Create and develop technical documentation as required.
Requirements :
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s / College Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology
- With at least 8+ yrs of DBA experience in a 24x7 production environment.
- Has Oracle 9iR2 / 10g experience on Linux and Windows Platforms
- With 3+ years experience with Linux Administration
- Experience with database support software and procedures
- Extensive experience with high volume OLTP database systems, UNIX shell scripting, PLSQL, and analytical SQL
- With experience with terabyte database
