Key responsibilities
ľ To ensure that Certificates & Registrations processed by Dubai Certification Centre are in accordance with the Contract requirements and GIS Business Rules.
ľ To ensure client needs are fully met by Dubai Certification Centre by providing prompt & professional certification service.
ľ Trade Works CoC Processing, issuance and related file management
ľ To maintain high Quality & Productivity level.
ľ Creation of Quality Procedures, Documents, CVG & Guidelines.
ľ Provide technical expertise.
ľ Marketing & Customer Education.
Main tasks and duties
ľ Maintains a solid knowledge of current conformity assessment and certification practices, business process and rules, and client country principles, rules and regulations. Ensure that CC personnel are kept up to date and made aware of any changes.
ľ Creates and maintains good working relationships with clients and other affiliates.
ľ To ensure effective people management.
ľ Keep Updated on Operations Procedures and Policy Matters.
ľ Handling queries & communications with affiliates, clients & other government agencies.
ľ TW CoC processing & issuance, supervise and related file management
ľ Client visits/meeting, client acquisition & related PR activities.
ľ Assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management System.
ľ Day to day Operational coordination & monitoring quality of executed jobs.
ľ Communicate with laboratories for testing requirements.
ľ Co-ordinate with accountant for invoicing related to testing and CoC issuances.
ľ Send service offers, quotations related to registration, testing and CoC issuance
ľ Provides timely and effective responses to the network in relation to inquiries concerning essential product requirements, standards and classification and also service request inquiries.
ľ Sends inquiries to the affiliates or contract clients for additional information.
ľ Elevates cases on non-response status or high risk disputes to Supervisor or Management.
ľ Assess product and/or exporter risk levels, identification of product essential requirements and applicable standards following the Business Rules on conformity assessment, classification, import eligibility and process flows, Country Instructions, and other related references.
ľ Make suggestions on improving effectiveness and efficiency of the division.
ľ Assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management System.
ľ Undertake any additional duties as delegated by the Manager to assist in the achievement of department objectives.

Professional qualifications
ľ Science /Engineering Graduate or similar technical qualifications
Experience / Technical knowledge
ľ Knowledge of Standards (Alger, ISO, IEC, BS, SASO)
ľ Experience in interpretation of Standards and drafting CVG
ľ High level of communications & computer skills
ľ Experience in Consumer / Cosmetics / Logistics/Electronics industry is an advantage
ľ Marketing / Sales experience with customer focused approach.
ľ Preferably with complete understanding and expertise in product certification or conformity assessment procedures, essential product specifications and applicable standards as well as customs classification rules.
