Contracts Engineer – UAE

Working for a large European Construction Main Contractor on a multi-billion heavy civil / marine / industrial engineering projects in the UAE.
The job involves the following:
As Contracts Engineer located in the Regional Office you will be involved in the pre-contract and post-contract administration.
Review tender document and advise on the contractual aspects.
Draft or review subcontract, pre-bid, teaming, consortium, and joint venture agreements.
Assist and guide project teams to identify and initiate the due contractual obligations in the project start-up.
Deal with the contractual correspondence.
Maintain records and registers of all changes, claims, and disputes.
Assist project teams with preparing, supporting, and negotiating cost and time claims.
Assist project teams in closing out the projects and ensure that all the contractual entitlements have been properly addressed.
Main Specification:
The right candidate should demonstrate the following:
About 10 years experience.
A recognized construction professional qualification in quantity surveying or civil engineering.
A sound knowledge of construction and contract law.
Knowledge of international contracts/agreements: principles, theory and application, terminology and development as well as practices and procedures.
Working knowledge of international standard format of contracts, particularly FIDIC.
Experience in preparing time and cost claims.
Excellent command of English.
Computer literate.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Available to start very soon.
Qualifications:
Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying degree is required.
