Sales Rep - Inside Phone Job Description
We have open positions available for several outbound phone sales representatives selling Christian video-based curriculum, seminars and training programs that our company produces and distributes. Sampson Resources has been in business for 20 years, featuring an excellent reputation and track record with churches and schools across the US. We offer an upbeat, clean environment in which to work. Our representatives are all top-notch, professional people.
To be successful with Sampson Resources, our sales reps must have a strong work ethic, a friendly and outgoing personality, and an inner drive to get the sale. He or she must also be able to work well with our current staff, several of whom have been with us 13 or 14 years. We are not a revolving door, but sales reps must produce consistently in order to stay with us.
We talk to pastors, ministers and church leaders all day, every day about our products, so we depend on communicating with our buyers with a good use of English and the ability to relate in a believable way to highly educated customers. A background in church ministry is very desirable, though not a requirement. The main requirement: Believing in the value of our multimedia seminars and training programs which deal with marriage enrichment, parenting, Bible studies, leadership training, Sunday School growth, men’s and women`s studies and the power in how they can help transform daily living.
Phones sales experience is always a plus, as well as an active history in church participation. What makes a person successful, however, is a disciplined work ethic, good phone voice and conversational flow, outgoing and friendly personality...and...the inner drive to sell.
A college degree is desirable, but not a requirement. An educated mind and ability to use good English is.
We offer a guaranteed base salary, plus commissions, plus daily-take-home cash bonuses, plus monthly performance bonuses; vacation; nine paid holidays; and 401K. Group health insurance is not provided, but we can recommend extremely reliable sources for advice and assistance.
Work hours are: 7:30 - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday (1 hour lunch)
7:30 - 1:30 p.m. Friday (no lunch)
