Description of activities:
Coordination of installations of large or small Diesel Engines for ships (boat) or room Diesel Generators
Drawing up and monitoring the Diesel Engines departments’ budget and investment plans in cooperation with the General Manager Diesel Engine Division.
Maintaining work instructions, making work instructions known and establishing and implementing of new work instructions.
Being an active member of the Diesel Engines Management team.
Directing a continuous improvement policy with regard to quality and effectiveness.
Establishing the need for training and education.
Execution:
Selecting suppliers.
Setting up and controlling technical knowledge package on behalf of the internal and external customers.
Developing new products (diesel generator sets, propulsion installations).
Other activities:
Representing our company at classification bureaus.
Convert the demands of the customer into technical possibilities of the engines.
Manual skills:
-Working with a keyboard of a PC.
-Working with the PC
Complexity / competences:
Responsible for maintaining instructions and making instructions known and establishing and implementing new work instructions.
Responsible for the way the annual determined policy is executed.
Selecting and assessment of personnel for the department Engineering Engines in cooperation with Personnel Affairs.
Maintaining internal and external contacts with all relevant authorities.
Responsibility:
-Drawing up and monitoring the departments’ budget.
-A correct execution of the tasks of the employees within the Diesel Engineering Engines Department.
-All matters related to applications and modifications of engines.
-Responsible for the compliance to the safety- and environmental policy and legislation within the department.
Communication with:
-Customers about other technical possibilities, now and in the future;
-General manager on the business within the department and the future developments;
-Colleagues of all departments of the Diesel Engine Division.
Skill / requirements:
-The English and German languages are required at the level of:
-Visits of dealers and customers;
-Communication to the headquater.
-Experience with diesel ship engines installation
-Experience with room diesel generators
Managing:
Manages employees of the Diesel Engineering Engines department where are employed specialists as Application Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Documentation Engineer and Designer/Draft Person Engines.
Managing concerns:
-Motivating and coaching;
-Supervising the continuity, quality and performance of the activities;
-Keeping performance and assessment interviews;
-Personnel affairs.
