ESL Institute is a small private academy in Southern coastal city of Ulsan, Korea. It has been open for going on 6 years and has an excellent reputation within the city for strong students who often win contest or receive top scores in school. The atmosphere is very relaxed and English- speaking director take care to make you fell comfortable. Class sizes are small and it is easy to get to know all students by name and have fun with them in the class.
We are currently seeking a fun and energetic couple for all level of students, including elementary, middle schoolers. Starting date of the contract will be 1st of September.
This is the perfect job for first time teachers, or experienced teachers looking for an easy year in a fun town. Ulsan is well known for its close knit foreigner community, where is simple to make friends and there’s always an event going o. The city has many transportation links to the rest of the country, including a ferry terminal to Japan, as well as many attractive qualities within the city.
Terms of contract
1.Housing
A fully furnished single studio apartment close to the school. Furniture provided includes a refrigerator, a gas range, a washing machine, a TV, telephone, a table suitable for meals, a Western style bed, a microwave oven, air conditioner, sofa and a wardrobe. This Institute is responsible for paying the rent and associated rental costs for the apartment. This Instructor is responsible for paying his/her share of all utility bills, including electricity, water, gas and telephone.
2.Salary & Severance payment
The salary is 2,200,000 won per month and a one month severance payment will be awarded upon successful completion of the one year contract
3. Vacation
10 paid vacation days plus all the Korean national holidays (approx. 15 days per year)
4.Airfare
Round trip airfare is providen for the teacher, or the cost will be reimbursed within seven days of the first teaching day.
5. Working hours
Monday~ Friday classes, a maximum of 30 hours per week. Teaching hours are from 3~8:30 pm.
6.Health care :
50% health care premium will be covered by Institute
7. All overtime
Optional, and only with consent of the instructor. Overtime will be calculated weekly and will be paid at a minimum rate of 18,000 won per hour.
8.There will be a one day orientation to introduce you to the school, as well as continued support throughout the year.

Skills Required:: |
Qualified teachers would meet the following criteria :
- Native English speaker holding B/A or B/S degree or higher , USA, CA, UK, NZ, AUS, IRE, South Africa passport holder
- A TESOL( or equivalent) certificate, or previous teaching experience is preferred but no mandatory. |
