| Job Description: |
Managing the marine & coastal engineering team in the execution of projects.
To provide strong HSE leadership
Specific Accountabilities
· Leadership over the marine / coastal team
· Overall supervision of Marine engineers/designers including Lead Engineers
· Forecast requirement for Marine engineering resources and allocate those resources.
· Marine design integrity of workscope and maintenance of standards.
· Prepare manhour estimate to perform project tasks.
· Check compliance with Alliance QA/safety/environment goals.
· Promote environmentally sustainable designs.
· Manage marine design and any design changes within budget and schedule.
· Evaluate new technology advancements against existing design standards and revise where applicable.
· Promote cost reduction and productivity enhancing initiatives.
· Promote career development within the group.
· Identify and review new technology development which could be applicable in providing more cost effective facilities.
· Technical supervision of project designated designers and draftsmen in the execution of their duty.
· Prepare weekly progress and expenditure reports on a project specific basis.
· Benchmark marine design/drafting and identify areas of improvement.
· Manage and report commercial performance of projects.
· Assist Infrastructure CSG Manager in business development activities.
· Promote HSE initiatives across office.
· Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU, etc
· Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the BU, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

Skills Required:: |
· BSc Degree in Civil engineering or above
· 15 years + plus design experience within the Marine & Coastal offshore industry
· Extensive knowledge of international standards and their applicability.
· Good command over written & spoken English.
