This project provides suitable and appropriate care for sick and wounded animals. The project currently cares for sloths, monkeys (tamarins, capuchins, howlers), kinkajous, margays, ocelots, jaguarundis, anteaters, cockatoos, macaws, parrots, owls, toucans, and many other species. Volunteers can help out by giving guided tours to visitors, cleaning out and feeding the animals, or by translating the centres literature into other languages.
Housing is available when not occupied but food is the responsibility of volunteers. There is also the option of staying in local hostels at a cost of £4.50 per night. |
Skills Required:: |
The ability to speak another language, especially Spanish, is a real bonus |
