The cultural centre focuses on improving the quality of life for youth and community members through arts, culture, education and agriculture. It seeks volunteers for its hospitality services and public relations, education and construction projects. Volunteers can help out in the restaurant and bar or work with the public relations team (i.e. providing tourist information). Help elaborate on and execute one of the existing educational programmes or develop their own programme (i.e. a beach clean-up campaign). Help out with construction work and avtivities in the garden (i.e. setting up a natural drainage system, building raised garden beds, constructing a greenhouse, etc). This project provides an excellent opportunity to learn about local culture and customs.
The project costs £1.20 per day if staying for one month, slightly more for shorter stays. The fee includes lodging in a fully furnished and secure house with hot water. Volunteers receive free food if they work a full day on any project, 50% discount for less hours.
