Chemical engineer – South Africa
Position: Senior Chemical Engineer
Qualifications: BSc Chemical Eng.
Location: South Africa-Johannesburg
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide professional and technical expertise in the design of chemical plants
• Develop PFD’s and PID’s to the level required
• Issue design calculations, data sheets and specifications
• Sizing of pipelines, valves and equipment
• Generate control philosophies, interlock schedules, functional Specifications, process description and related documents
• Generate operating manuals
• Co-ordinate design activity with other engineering disciplines
• Sign off design documents and obtain approval
• Liaise with Client engineers other contractors for plant design
• Liaise with vendors for engineering requirements to complete the plant design
• Comply with appropriate Legislative, regulatory and standards and procedures
• Comply with the company and project design procedures
• Assist in the training of client operations personnel
