| Job Description: |
Purpose of Job
To provide cost engineering support to the various customers’ departments throughout the companies.
Principal accountabilities
- To provide estimating services throughout the different phases of the projects to the Front end and Project engineers in the Asset Units
- To provide estimating services to other functions in the Companies e.G. BSM, BLNG, FAC etc. And to the various departments in OS e.G. SCO, SEN/1 etc.
- To prepare firm budget estimates.
- To prepare Company estimates for Tender evaluation purposes.
- To support project team in cost related services during economic evaluations of project proposals.
- To prepare Life Cycle Costs estimates in close co-ordination with the Operation/Maintenance departments.
- To support and assist customers during audit processes e.G. VARs.
- To assess and analyse cost associated to uncertainties and risks of projects.
- To assist in completed project analysis for the maintenance of the various databases.
- To assist contract engineers in developing Section 8 of tender documents.
- To review/screen estimates or quotations prepared by Third Parties
- To assist in bench marking exercises.
- To assist in developing and enhancing cost models, estimating methodologies and relevant estimating tools.
- To prepare, develop or provide cost control mechanism for projects.
- To assist in Latest Cost Forecast (LCF) monitoring of projects.
- To assist in the preparation of cost section of Project close out report.
- To assist in the training of junior staffs in all estimating process.
