| Job Description: |
Purpose of Job
To provide discipline and specialist electrical design, HVAC and maintenance engineering support to Asset Units (BSP-Business Processes - 09,11,12,13,71,72).
Principal accountabilities
- To implement the requirements of the EMS and to assume the full responsibilities for the applicable tasks described in that documentation.
- To produce feasibility, conceptual and detailed engineering design drawings to BSP standards or other equivalent code.
- Leads and manages a team of designers and draughtsmen.
- Enhances the know-how of Bruneian staff by giving advice on job training.
- Supervision of final output by division heads. Applies fundamental techniques and follows Group and local standards and policies.
- Input and maintain Electrical Design Standardisation, HVAC standardisation and standard drawings, including cable schedule assignment and listings.
- Review on design packages submitted by external design consultants and vendor drawings, including the interfacing requirement.
- Input and maintain material technical specifications in buying description and SAP.

Skills Required:: |
Qualifications
Required
-Diploma graduate with some 10 years experience and able to manage and supervise a team of staff. Good overview of the BSP technical organisation, activities and operations.
Preferred
OND (minimum 10 year experience) or HND or equivalent
Competence Required
Experience
- Strong technical skill with overview in the design of electrical and HVAC facilities to ensure HSE and HFE requirements are met with optimum cost and maintainability over the life cycle.
- Minimum 7-10 years discipline experience in oil and gas industry.
- Good interpersonal communications and co-ordinating skills.
- Full understanding of HSE management principles and its application in BSP.
- Profession in AutoCAD drafting.
Training
-Basic electrical design calculations & drafting or equivalent to M124
Special Abilities
-Professional skill requirements and able to fulfil the CBD elements: see Field Engineers Skills Portfolio - Technical Professional level. Must be a matured individual, with at least 7 to 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, and some 5 to 8 years (depending on type of experience) in the discipline. Must have demonstrated managerial abilities.
