| Job Description: |
My client is an Australian household name Tier 1 contractor with a specialist tunnelling division. They are engaged in a major Brisbane urban transport project and need the services of a Quality Manager - Tunnels.
A few pertinent responsibilities include:
Assisting tunnel personnel with the development of work process documentation to ensure they incorporate the requirements of the Project Quality System.
Assisting tunnel personnel in the establishment and operation of site based Quality reporting (IT) systems.
Monitoring that the Project Quality Plans and Procedures are followed and documented.
Performing surveillance and audit activities on consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to verify compliance with project/contract requirements.
Assessing consultants; suppliers and subcontractor’s Quality Systems for compliance with the Project requirements.
Implementing non-conformance control system on the project for recording, actioning and closing out non-conformance and recording costs of remedial actions.
Providing reports/results for inclusion in monthly project reports.
Providing training and development of tunnel personnel in quality management to ensure their understanding of system requirements.
Preferably you will have an engineering background and specific tunnelling or underground mining experience will be well regarded.
