Job Description: Cyberscribe Solutions Inc. is a technical communication firm offering a full range of documentation services to a wide variety of industries. We specialize in consumer support materials (e.g., user guides, online help) and business documents (e.g., policies and procedures, operating manuals) that help people do their jobs.



Based in Metro Vancouver (Canada), Cyberscribe has been operating successfully since 1999. Having recently refocused our brand, we are entering a significant growth phase.



We are pleased to offer a unique opportunity for a self-directed client relations or marketing communications professional to join our company in an entry level position that is intended to evolve into a management role. The primary focus is to act as the front line for post-sale contact with highly valued clients; professionalism, diplomacy and refined communication skills are mandatory.

Responsibilities--Client Relations / Marketing:

• Support and coordinate corporate sales and business development strategies.

• Identify and develop channel partnership opportunities.

• Research, recommend and implement applications to improve client relations and track new leads.

• Respond in a timely manner to client requests via email, phone and personal interaction.

• Initiate and maintain ongoing client communications, including newsletters and marketing campaigns.

• Follow up with clients at key touchpoints throughout project life cycles; identify and respond to new opportunities.

• Develop and update web content to ensure our marketing message remains current and on target.

• Track leads, manage contacts and execute targeted marketing to meet retention and growth goals.

• Develop and track client feedback mechanisms to monitor client satisfaction and improve service levels.

• Analyze evolving client needs to improve marketing materials and communication.

• Develop (design, write, maintain) a range of marketing and public relations collateral.

• Help align corporate goals and objectives to increase revenue.

• Lead public relations and advertising initiatives, and contribute to business development strategies.

• Deal tactfully and effectively with clients, contractors, agencies, etc., and maintain good public relations.



Responsibilities--Operations:

• Coordinate project initialization.

• Prepare effective data reports and analysis as required.

• Provide HR support to employees and contract resources (i.e., recruitment, performance reviews).

• Conduct staff meetings; participate in team and project meetings as required.

• Plan and organize internal projects.

• Maintain policy and procedure guides and other internal business process documentation.

• Develop and implement business improvement strategies.

• Perform various administrative functions (e.g., SharePoint site administration, identity management).

• Build co-operative relationships based on open communication and trust.

• Inspire innovation by leading with vision and striving for personal mastery.

• Engage co-workers, clients, contractors and channel partners in positive, mutually beneficial interaction.

• Demonstrate and encourage high professional standards through responsible and sensitive management.



Experience:

• a minimum of 2 - 5 years of related experience (e.g., customer service, client relations, business management)

• a minimum of 2 years in a self-directed role

• technical and/or marketing communications (writing samples will be required)

• strong affinity for sales and business development

• evidence of problem-solving capabilities

• experience translating clients needs into measurable achievements

• graphic and/or web design experience a strong asset



Computer Skills:

As technical writers, we use a wide range of authoring software. At a minimum, you must have advanced experience working with MS Word, and solid experience with one or more of the following:



• MS Office Suite

• MS SharePoint

• CRM software

• iContact or similar

• MadCap Flare and/or Adobe RoboHelp

• Adobe Creative Suite

• Adobe FrameMaker

• Adobe Acrobat Professional
