| Job Description: |
To work as part of the Corporate Risk Management Team in providing an effective Risk Process, Assurance, Data Integrity & Scrutiny service across the entire business ensuring the effective and timely management of risks therefore enabling strategic milestones to be achieved.
Responsibilities
* Act as technical authority for interpretation of risk data to enable the company to integrate and manage risk via the production of key performance indicators
* Provide independent review of programme and project risks to support business case and confidence models for the organisation
* Define reporting analysis to ensure company Risk tool is utilised effectively
* Identify new techniques and methodologies for risk interpretation and advise Risk community on how to utilise this to enhance current practices across the company
* Responsible for collation and submission of monthly risk reporting to the Board and Quarterly reviews to the customer
* MoD Interface - Contributing to the development and maintenance of a professional interface between Belfas Consult with the MOD with particular responsibility for the MoD’s Risk Maturity Assessment Process
* Ensure understanding and application of responsibilities with regard to the Company’s Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards

Skills Required:: |
Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience & Skills
* Applicable Degree or equivalent formal qualifications or equivalent experience
* Project Management or Risk Management qualifications would be an advantage
* A Technical or analytical qualification relating to statistical evaluation or equivalent experience would be an advantage
* Membership of professional body is desirable
* In depth knowledge of Risk Management best practice
* Excellent knowledge of the principles of business continuity
* Detailed understanding of Assurance and Quality Management methodology
* Extensive knowledge of Project management principles
* Risk identification and trend analysis experience is a mandatory requirement
* Significant experience of the application of Risk Management, preferably within a defence environment
* Extensive experience of working in a project/technical environment
* Good working experience of risk management software
* Previous experience of providing expert training
* Proven experience of providing expert advice at all levels of an organisation
* Proven customer/supplier relationship management experience at a senior level
* The use of RisGen/Active Risk Manager (ARM) as a risk management tool and Microsoft Excel
* Ability to manage the development and delivery of training packages
* Specialist skills in report preparation and presentation
* Extensive verbal and written communication skills
* Proven influencing and negotiation skills
* Ability to promote strategic thinking Proven experience of presenting and advising at Board level
* A general appreciation of Business Continuity and Three Point Estimating (3PE) Confidence Modelling
* Working as part of a team to deliver a broad set of objectives
* Able to provide Leadership across the organisation on risk management issues
* Flexibility within the team to support other activities as necessary
* Output oriented with a pragmatic approach to problem solving
* Customer focused
