Responsibilities: - Analyze, evaluate, test and perform repairs down to component level - Excellent soldering ability - Ability to troubleshoot without the aid of drawings or maps - Ability to use problem solving techniques - Perform work in a fast paced environment with minimal technical assistance and supervision - Be able to estimate the time and cost to repair material - Read and understand logic diagrams or schematics when available - Need to determine when a board cannot be fixed and document the problem for higher level technician This position requires someone with a strong ability to both complete technical tasks, and communicate options and solutions (in English - SPEAK!) with customers. This is one of the most enjoyable positions in all of computer service, because of the constant opportunities to learn new things (never a boring day)! Desired: - Strong computer knowledge - Previous technical experience.
2 or more years of experience with computer repair; or
* 2 years of college or military experience or
* Completed A+ training/holds an A+ certificate or equivalent experience or currently pursuing a career in computer repair.
* Knowledge of basic computer architecture ;
* Experienced with evaluating and troubleshooting broken computers;
* Able to follow oral and written instructions;
* Strong organizational skills to be able to disassemble and reassemble whole laptops and keep track of all the parts;
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize, communicate with others and work in a team environment;
* Able to read technical documents.

Skills Required:: |
Identifies and repairs faulty components in laptop and desktop computers such as disk drives, memory, LCD panels.
* Maintains inventory of computer parts and log of all repairs/service performed.
* Disassembles, reassembles, and refurbishes used laptop computers.
