| Job Description: |
Exciting role to be based in Dubai and should have United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Health License (MOH)to practice Pharmacy in UAE.
Detailed Role Profile:
1. Clinical Pharmacy Services
-Recommend and assist in prescribing of drugs, and manage dispensing of such
-Provide day to day inpatient and outpatient care, in partnership with HCPs in order to optimize medication therapy
- Offer routine observation services of patients and provide advice and recommendations on drug therapies to HCPS
- Act as objective advisor and manager for all medication therapy in medical centre, working in and through an interdisciplinary team of health professionals
- Provide day to day proper review of drug usage, interactions and but not limited to toxicity, side effects, cessation of usage etc.
- Carry out drug use studies and research and provide hands-on recommendations to HCPs in areas of pharmacoeconomics, pharmacovigilance, pharmacoepidemiology etc
2. Professional Pharmacy Services
- Design and implement pharmacy policies in collaboration with physicians, general practitioners and decision makers and ensuring legal compliance of such
- Provide professional judgement in all interactions with patients and HCPs in areas of recommendations, evaluations and case closures
- Design and implement programs and activities to provide training and education for pharmacists and other health care practitioners.
3. Inventory Management
- Collaborate with Physicians and other HCPs on drug selection and distribution.
- Maintaining tracking and replenishment schedules for store inventory and agreed stock levels in line with policies and consultation with Medical Centre Management
- Carry out expiry periods checks on an agreed basis and maintaining the checking system and registers
- Work within legal framework in dealing with the handling, storage and dispensing of controlled and uncontrolled medicines.
4. Customer Services
- Establish rapport with patients and walk in customers so as to improve awareness of treatments, monitor treatment responses, check and improve compliance with medication.
- Provide in home and community based pharmaceutical care to patients
- Enable follow up services to out-patients through offering of follow up services
