Business Intelligence Solutions has a challenging position for an individual to fill the vacancy at their office in Bellville. The purpose of the role is to design and develop data provision mechanisms in support of business intelligence solutions and data warehousing.
Requirements:
• Relevant diploma or B-degree in IT (NQF level 6 / 7)
• Min 5 yrs IT exp
• Experience in systems or data analysis
• Programming, relational database or ETL exp (SAS, Oracle, MS-SQL, DataStage)
• Business intelligence or data warehousing exp
• Strong understanding of dimensional processing
• Strong SQL exp
• Standby duties required
Responsibilities:
• Develop technical specifications and process flows for data provision activities in support of the development of BI solutions (extraction and transformation of data, loading of data into appropriate data warehousing structures)
• Develop and test data extraction, transformation and load routines for population of data warehouse and data marts as well as the provision of data extracts
• Quality assurance of data provided
• Liaise with business analysts in terms of business requirements
• Liaise with developers in terms of data solutions to be provided
• Provide support to BI users on data related issues
• Designing, enhancing and maintaining the Retail data warehouse and Data Marts/Store
