Minnesota Leadership Academy (MLA) is a new public charter school, with an anticipated opening of 2010 in Minneapolis, that aims to become an exemplary, results-driven and scalable K-8 public school where every scholar is academically proficient, ready to thrive in high school and college, and demonstrates leadership, character and imagination.
MLA has high aspirations. The school will partner for its start-up with one of the top performing K-8 public schools in the state of Minnesota. With a strong, ambitious, and multi-talented governing board MLA seeks to establish itself as a scalable high-performing school model for urban youth.

School Leader/Principal
We seek an entrepreneurial and relentless education leader with a track record in enabling underserved urban children to learn at high levels. The school will open at K-2 in Minneapolis in August 2010 and grow to K-8. We seek proven results in hiring and motivating teachers and working with children and families. This is an opportunity to work with a very talented board interested in going to scale with multiple schools over time. Evidence of ability to make things happen and provide fearless leadership is critical.
