For our client, a global organization providing a broad range of medical solutions, we are looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Engineering Manager.
Main tasks:
The Engineering Manager coordinates and directs the daily operation of the plant Engineering functions. Provides direct technical support for all areas of Manufacturing / Engineering operations. Provides an interface with the corporate engineering groups for the purpose of managing the projects pertaining to the plant engineering department.
- Manage the daily activities of the plant Engineering group. Schedule engineering projects, provide technical and organizational assistance.
- Provide technical resources and support in resolving equipment, product and process related production problems as necessary to ensure a continuous flow of products and components.
- Provide technical resources and support to programs directed towards Compliance, Safety, Quality, Delivery and Value.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement preventive measures.
- Conduct Validation & Testing activities and oversee completion of written reports fully compliant to regulations.
- Coordinate or participate in the selection of equipment designed for process improvement or automation and in the selection of new equipment.
- Oversee the installation of new or transferred equipment including relocation of existing equipment.
- Prepare and/or oversee development of new or revised Engineering documentation.
We require:
- EDUCATION - B.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- EXPERIENCE - 10 years Engineering related, preferably in regulated industry, 5 years of experience in managing manufacturing and/or engineering , experience in the medical device industry is a big advantage (experience with validation and ISO Medical Device environment). Computer literate with Word, Excel, Power Point. Exceptional team building, coaching, interpersonal and communication skills. A disciplined approach to project management and customer relations, flexibility. Experience in Cell and Lean Manufacturing is welcomed.
