| Job Description: |
A great opportunity to apply for Assistant Chief Fire Prevention for an International Airport in Saudi Arabia is available.
You will be responsible for the following:
Inspects systems and facilities, including alarms extinguishers, hydrants, terminal facilities, support buildings and tenant facilities. Ensure that deficiencies are notified to relevant authority and that follow up inspections are conducted to ensure that the deficiencies have been rectified. Supervises the activities of Fire Prevention and Breathing Apparatus personnel.
Duties:
• Administers the fire preventions section and schedules workload of subordinate staff.
• Regularly inspects building, facilities and aircraft ground operations for fire and safety hazards.
• Prepares reports on inspections and notifies Deputy Chief of any potential hazards or further action. Performs re-inspection to ensure hazardous situations have been rectified.
• Checks and tests all fire alarm boxes and annunciator system regularly.
• Checks all fire extinguishers and hose reels to ensure they are in proper working condition. Notifies fire extinguisher section of deficiencies.
• Performs operational checks on hydrants.
• Review plans and specifications for new construction and alterations and makes recommendations regarding fire prevention and safety maters.
• Prepares fire prevention program and instructs fire department members in the importance of fire prevention.
• Conducts regular fire prevention lectures to employees.
• Responsible for records and correspondence in connection with servicing, repair and recharging of fire extinguisher, vehicle status, and breathing apparatus sets.
• Responsible for storage and issuance of breathing apparatus and spare parts.
• Ensures the maintenance and safekeeping of service manuals, manufacturer specifications and spare parts manuals of breathing apparatus assets.
• Enters essential information and operational data in connection with breathing apparatus functions into computer system.
• Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Should have completed courses in and be qualified to NFPA-1021, Officer Level III.
Should also be qualified to NFPA-1031, Fire Inspector Level III, Fire Investigator Level III, and Fire Education Officer Level III.

Skills Required:: |
Must be familiar with NFPA Codes and IFSTA Manuals.
